Dr. Mel Ebeling is a resident physician at the University of Cincinnati. Prior to residency, they earned their bachelor of science in neuroscience and medical degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham as part of the BS/MD program there. Concurrently throughout their education, Dr. Ebeling worked as an Emergency Medical Technician and trained Hazardous Materials Specialist in the fire service, where they also had the opportunity to serve as a Community Liaison for the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security Office of Bombing Prevention, educating local stakeholders on bomb-making materials awareness in advance of the 2022 World Games. Their academic interests include counterterrorism and disaster medicine, EMS, simulation, and medical education.
