Dr. Wiltjer is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She attended medical school at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine before heading to the University of Maryland where she completed her combined residency in Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics. Her clinical time is spent both in the Adult Emergency Department and the Pediatric Emergency Department. Her clinical interests include care of children and adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities, congenital heart disease, pediatric traumatic injuries, and the use of ultrasound in the Pediatric Emergency Department. She has spoken nationally and internationally on these topics and has won a national speaking competition.
