Patients with autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental differences frequently struggle in the ED setting, creating challenges in achieving optimal care and comfort. This can create frustration for patients, physicians, and staff alike. This session will assess the challenges that can occur and provide actionable solutions. Learn tips and tricks using resources already available in your ED to smooth these visits and make them less painful for both the patient and yourself.
