This talk will provide evidence-based updates on the management of common orthopedic injuries in the Emergency Department, with a focus on recent literature that challenges traditional practices. Topics will include nailbed injury repair, scaphoid fracture management, toddler’s fractures, and nursemaid’s elbow reduction techniques, among others. Through case-based examples and critical appraisal of new studies, attendees will gain practical takeaways to modernize their orthopedic care and apply the latest evidence at the bedside.

After this session, the learner will be able to describe evidence-based approaches to the diagnosis and management of occult scaphoid fracture in the emergency department using recent literature
