Brian Acunto, DO, EJD, FACOEP, FACEP

Dr. Acunto earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he served as chief resident. He has been board certified in Emergency Medicine since 2011. In 2019, Dr. Acunto furthered his education by earning an Executive Juris Doctorate from Purdue University Global Law School.

Dr. Acunto currently practices with Atlantic Emergency Associates in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He has served as the Medical Director of the Emergency Department at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City since 2015. In 2024, he was appointed Chair of Emergency Medicine, overseeing all three of AtlantiCare’s emergency departments. Since 2020, he has also held the role of Medical Safety Officer, contributing significantly to the hospital’s quality and safety initiatives.

Dr. Acunto is deeply committed to advancing healthcare delivery, with a particular focus on improving patient safety and ensuring equitable access to care.
