Dr. Lammers is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She attended medical school at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her pediatric residency with Texas A&M at Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX. After discovering her passion for the fast-paced environment of the emergency department, she pursued a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship in Rochester, NY at the University of Rochester's Strong Memorial Hospital. Currently, her clinical time is spent in the Pediatric Emergency Department at the University of Maryland. She is a clinical instructor for the Practice of Medicine course at University of Maryland School of Medicine as well as a Student House Mentor and is passionate about improving medical education for both medical students and residents. Her clinical interests include patient safety, child abuse pediatrics, caring for children with psychiatric emergencies, and reducing socioeconomic disparities in pediatric healthcare.
