Dr. Katharine Burns is the Director of the Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship Program at Advocate Christ Medical Center, located just outside of Chicago. She practices clinically at Advocate Christ and holds an academic appointment as Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at University of Illinois at Chicago. She graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed residency at Advocate Christ Medical Center. She completed her Ultrasound Fellowship at Advocate Christ and currently serves as Core Faculty within their Emergency Medicine residency program. Katie has taught ultrasound courses nationally and internationally and is a Core Faculty member of the Resuscitative TEE Course. Her research focuses on ultrasound use in resuscitation and cardiac arrest.
