Dr. Robert E. (Bob) Suter, is an internationally respected emergency physician who is a member of the AAEM Board and a retired Brigadier General and combat veteran in the US Army Reserve. He is a Past President of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians, the American College of Emergency Physicians and the International Federation for Emergency Medicine. He has served on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and is recipient of the James Keany Award. He received his bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and received his DO and MHA degrees from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa and a Masters in strategic studies from the Army War College. Dr. Suter did his residency training in emergency medicine at Brooke Army Medical Centers in San Antonio and he is board certified by both the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine, and has been EMS certified by both. He has previously servce as a Senior Associate Dean and an earned Professor at multiple institutions including Uniformed Services University.
