Dr. Lam is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Director of Physician Wellness at UCHealth . He is a recognized national leader and advocate for physician well-being.
Nationally, Dr. Lam serves on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and has authored multiple position statements advancing physician wellness and system-level reform. He is co-chair of AAEM's Leadership Academy and has developed a leadership curriculum with a foundation of emotional intelligence.
He has pioneered innovative curricula, including a longitudinal emergency medicine clerkship and a region-wide physician resilience program and is the course director for Excellence in Communication. His leadership has earned honors such as the UCHealth Best Teaching and Mentoring Award, the AAEM James Keaney Award, and recognition as a Top Doctor by Colorado Springs Magazine.
