Dr. Stephanos is an Assistant Professor in Emergency Medicine, assistant Program Director of EM/Pediatrics, and the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Medical Education. After her dual residency training in Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Maryland Medical Center, she joined the faculty at the University of Rochester. There, she completed the American College of Emergency Physicians Teaching Fellowship. She joined the faculty at the University of Maryland in 2022. In addition to medical education, Dr. Stephanos has interests Pediatric Emergency Medicine - specifically in the areas of hematology, oncology, trauma, neurology, and updates in pediatric literature - as well as women in emergency medicine with various publications and invited national and international talks on these topics. She is currently a National Foundation of Emergency Medicine Scholar actively engaged in research with a focus on sickle cell disease.
