Dr. Matt Borloz is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine (EM) with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and a member of the core faculty of the Virginia Tech Carilion EM Residency Program. He is a graduate of AAEM's Speaker Development Group Program and has academic interests in emergency electrocardiography, cognitive error recognition and mitigation in the emergency department, and the diagnosis and management of hematologic emergencies. Dr. Borloz is a Distinguished Senior Reviewer for Annals of Emergency Medicine and serves as the ED Medical Director for Carilion New River Valley Medical Center.
