Dr. Yash Chavda currently serves as the Emergency Ultrasound Director at NYU Langone Long Island. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU Long Island School of Medicine.
Dr. Chavda’s medical journey began with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by residency training in Emergency Medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was Chief Resident. He further refined his expertise through an Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship at North Shore University Hospital. Additionally, he completed the All NYC EM Fellowship, focusing on education and conference development.
Dr. Chavda’s academic pursuits include an MBA with a specialization in project management from Louisiana State University Shreveport, enhancing his strategic approach to healthcare management. He is board-certified in Emergency Medicine with a Focused Practice Designation in Advanced Emergency Ultrasound and has achieved accreditation for clinical ultrasound programs under his leadership.
He has made contributions to emergency medicine literature and education and is the writer and editor for sonopro.me, an ultrasound education website. He is involved in academic projects, national workshops, and leadership wants to help develop the future of POCUS in clinical practice.
