Whether you are a graduating resident or a seasoned attending, finding a new job can be challenge. This talk breaks down some of the barriers physicians face approaching a job search. We will be focusing on how to understand and prioritize the "3 Legged Stool" of location, money and the actual job. Other topics covered include CV styles, whether cover letters are a thing of the past, benefits everyone needs so job offers can be compared equally, common contract issues and the importance of your "rank list" to minimize the chances of getting offers lower down your list before even interviewing at the top. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, we will discuss ways to truly understand a group's culture before making a decision.
